Gregorian chant concert "Les Grandes Fêtes". Singer Jean Delobel.
Driven by a desire to breathe new life into the oldest repertoire in the Western world, Jean Delobel draws on the oldest Gregorian manuscripts and oral traditions that are still alive today to restore the full richness of GREGORIAN CHANT.
His practice follows in the footsteps of Damien Poisblaud, with whom he sings regularly as part of the Chantres du Thoronet choir.
This programme celebrates the five major feasts that mark the liturgical year: Christmas, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost and Assumption.
An invitation to enter into the mystery of Christ through the sober and profound beauty of these ancient chants.
