Situated in the valley of the Artuby, behind the Brouis moutain, this peaceful village built on the hill-side is dominated by the ruins of its primitive castel. Here is the blue, green and gold country.
Located in the upper valley of Artuby, this small village is built on the hillside, dominated by the ruins of its original castellas. In this mountain landscape, the natural environment is absolutely beautiful and offers very beautiful hiking trails. Discover the site of the old sawmill, the Bridge of Madame, old stone bridge that crosses Artuby, the mountain of Brouis and magnificent forests. Don't miss the Book Festival in June, and the Forest and Wood Festival on the second weekend of September.
Only a few elevations remain of this building built of limestone rubble. We can still see the location of the old windows.

The hamlet of Plan d'Anelle seems to be nestled in its green setting. Near the chapel of Saint-Joseph and the cemetery, you will appreciate the peace and serenity of the place.

The presence of this fountain is attested since 1842, but it is probably much older. 1909 marks the date of a restoration and the installation of the distribution plate.
This is the communal oven that was used for cooking for all the inhabitants of the hamlet. Nowadays, it is used occasionally for the hamlet's festivities.

On his way back to Paris, Napoleon 1st made a stopover on March, 3rd, 1815 at the inn of Le Logis du Pin, located near the town. The bust, built by Jules Chaperon, commemorates his arrival.
