The village of 316 inhabitants, situated at 704 m of altitude and on the outskirts of the Var and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, constitues an interesting architectural ensemble. The alleys are full of charm. There are some beautiful old houses, carefully restored, fountains and a public bread oven! The "Lacs et Gorges du Verdon" territory is one of the intermunicipal offices of the Var. It covers the whole of the north-east of the department. Its territory crosses the Gorges du Verdon, extending from the Artuby Pre-Alps to the Quinson dam.
Serenity at the edge of the water. Lake Artignosc is locateds in the "basses Gorges" betwee, Monpesat and Artignosc sur Verdon. Quinson's reservoir caused the birth of this small lake.
Located behind the De Thoron castle, the bakery was already in use in 1472. It still has a beautiful vault and a large hearth.
This belvedere allows you to admire the Verdon meandering through the Gorges d'Artignosc and the surrounding landscape.
