Since 2013, an international team coordinated by the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) and the University of Liège, under the aegis of the regional archaeology service of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, has been digging the prehistoric site of Les Prés de Laure (Comps-sur-Artuby) located in the Jabron Valley (Var). In recent years, research areas have extended throughout the valley and several sites have been excavated.
Under exceptional preservation conditions, researchers have exhumed the remains of human occupations, stone tools, animal remains, etc. All these discoveries attest to a seasonal occupation, most of which date back to the Upper Palaeolithic.

The municipality of Trigance and the archaeologists have chosen, with the help of the Verdon Natural Regional Park, to retrace the history and different human occupations of the Jabron Valley, through the evolution of its landscapes and scientific discoveries. A real immersion in the landscape through these panels where you can see it evolve over time thanks to illustrations.
