The Sainte-Croix lake is the 2nd largest artificial lake of France (22 square kilometres). The dam of Sainte-Croix was officially inaugurated in 1974. It contributes to supply a great part of the area (Marseille, Toulon...) with electricity and drinking water.
On Bauduen area, fitted beaches will allow you to enjoy swimming in emerald green water of the lake, in an absolute calm (motor boats are forbidden).
Nautical hikes (canoes, pedal or electric boats) are accessible to everybody to discover the Grand Canyon spectacular spots.
A first-aid post is opened in July and August and provides  beach of Bauduen with watched bathing.
Access to the Chaumets beach is regulated: 
Motorised traffic is permitted as far as the tennis courts. 
Motorised traffic is prohibited every weekday evening from 9.30pm to 6am the following day (Monday to Thursday)
 and at weekends from Friday 9.30pm to Monday 6am.
