GAEC Laetit'Chèvres de Bounas

BAUDUEN

Nestled in the heart of the Verdon countryside, Laetitia and Guillaume welcome you to the Bounas goat farm, an organic and pastoral holding where tradition, nature and animal welfare go hand in hand.

Laetitia and Guillaume are passionate goat farmers who invite you to experience an authentic slice of rural life in Bauduen. After a career change in 2016, Laetitia trained as a farm manager at the agricultural college of Carmejane in Digne-les-Bains. Together with her husband Guillaume, she went on to develop a project rooted in respect for nature and animals.

After several years farming in the Var region, the couple took over the goat farm in the hamlet of Bounas and created GAEC Laetit’Chèvres de Bounas. The farm is certified organic and holds the Nature & Progrès label, highlighting their strong commitment to sustainable farming and animal welfare.

Their goats roam freely all year round across 350 hectares of garrigue and forest, in partnership with the French National Forestry Office and the municipality of Bauduen. The kids are born at the end of January, and delicious farmhouse cheeses are produced from March to November.

You can meet Laetitia and Guillaume at local markets or visit the farm from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the milking season, as well as by appointment. Visitors can enjoy guided farm tours or join the farmers on a walk with the grazing goats, accompanied by their protective dogs Ulysse and Redding, and Baloo, the ever-attentive Border Collie.

While they keep a low profile on social media, you can follow their daily life and news on Facebook and Instagram under Laetit’Chèvres.

“We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our passion for farming and the land. See you soon!”
