The bridge over the Artuby was constructed of reinforced concrete between 1938 and 1940 by the company Thorrand and Co. from Nice.

The Verdon Gorges form the biggest canyon of Europe; it's an area where space and vastness are mixing. In the limestone of Haute Provence plateau, the river dug a 50 kilometres long canyon, 700 metres deep in places.
Between sky and water, this perched village dominates the calm waters of Sainte-Croix Lake as far as the eye can see. At the heart of a marvelous nature, Aiguines protects the access to the Verdon Gorges, as a motionless watcher.

Head to the chapel of Saint-Pierre any time of the day to enjoy the view of the Sainte-Croix lake. It is also a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset.
First point of view on the left bank startinf from Aiguines, the col d'Illoire offers you the panorama of the Sainte-Croix lake and the Verdon gorges.

This route uses the roads high up on the cliffs (not along the river) and offers breathtaking views.
The Galetas bridge is a road bridge at the start of Sainte-Croix lake and the end of the Verdon Gorges.
